How the calculation works and what to consider

Sell-now amount = kg × current price minus current transport. Later amount = remaining kg × future price minus storage and later transport. Break-even later price = (sell-now amount + storage + later transport) divided by remaining kg. This estimate excludes borrowing costs, tax and the time value of money.
